This book takes a far different approach to the used vehicle business than I expected. Dale analyzes the U/C department with the same approach a skilled stocks and commodities broker would use, data and “return on investment” principles. Not only is it refreshing to find material on the retail automobile business, but Dale’s innate intelligence and experience in the trenches really shines through with each and every page of this thought provoking book.
Moreover, if I was a store owner or GM, this book of Dales’ would be required reading for all department managers, not just the U/C manager-he intertwines the book into all facets of the retail dealership. I’ve already recommended this book to some of my dealer friends only to find out they have read it and are applying the principles, successfully, in their daily business regimen.
Kudos to you Dale and I look forward to your next book.

Dale has nailed it! It’s all about being committed to the detail and leaving no stone unturned. Good enough is not adequate! This book explains the car business like any supply and demand market. The key is that those who are willing to commit to process and execution are sure to become winners!
