Something has gone seriously awry with the moral compass of a Christian who is able to countenance the concept of “network marketing,” a/k/a “multi-level marketing.”
Let’s face it: all cold-call sales techniques break the Golden Rule. Multi-level marketing is worse even than them: in the pursuit of a golden dream of money and glittery respect that elude most of its dupes, it hitches its star to a self-promoting philosophy of salesmanship whose essence seems to be that if you hope to successfully deceive others, you must first deceive yourself. “Network marketing” treats our friends, neighbours, church members and other social acquaintances as tools, hoping to sell them a product, or better, recruit them into a pyramid scheme and add them to your “downline.”
What would Jesus do? If you value humility, if you would not be drawn closer to the world, if you would walk with the Man of Sorrows, I think you should steer as far away from this sort of “success” promotion as possible.

I have been around the block in MLM for years now, and this book is NOT very good. I don’t know who Zig thinks he’s writing this for, but it’s not for the potential MLM’er. If you’re looking for a book that is easy to understand, try a different one. Better luck next time, Zig.

Albeit the fact that Zig Ziglar’s own MLM bit the dust, this book is great for those who would like to learn how to retail their MLM products.
Also this book does NOT cover much about the pitfalls one is bound to encounter in network marketing.

As one of the contributors to this book, I was even more pleased with the finished result than I had imagined. Of course, many people in our organization have purchased Network Marketing for Dummies… the first of whom was so inspired after reading the expert advice and detailed descriptions of Network Marketing (including invaluable tips from a variety of industry leaders) that in less than 60 days she became our company’s fastest 4-star Manager in Canada ! Many others have also achieved record-setting results, and credit much of their success to the basic training and business-building strategies presented in Network Marketing for Dummies. This book is an excellent orientation for anyone curious about the industry, as well an essential “field guide” for network marketers wishing to take their business to the next level…

I am almost finished reading this book and am very impressed with it. I have read dozens of books recently on the subject and rate this at the very top of my list. It is practical, well written, truthful, inspiring, lacks the hype and exaggeration of similar books. It iss truly a must for anyone looking to join the network marketing industry and network marketing pros alike. I have already and will continue to reccommend this book to my organization.
